Welcome to Lyme Disease GNHCT Scotland
Lyme Disease GNHCT Scotland has been set up as a new Scottish charity to help Lyme disease sufferers in Scotland.
Dame Annette Montague-Thomas was so moved after seeing a documentary on the African AIDS pandemic, which is still today devastating villages, that she resolved to do something about it. She flew to South Africa, set up a clinic, and has now treated tens of thousands of patients.
In 2014, she realised that similar devastation is being suffered by Lyme disease patients on her own doorstep. Often finding it difficult to get their illness acknowledged within the NHS, they are left to fend for themselves, in fear of dying. She has now committed to help patients in the United Kingdom and has set up the Lyme Disease GNHCT Scotland charity specifically to help patients in Scotland.
